On 17.05.2018, the 7th seminar under the motto “Energy efficiency through ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems” took place in the trade center of “TANGRA” company in Sofia. This year’s theme was new products, solutions and selection software. Nearly 100 specialists and HVAC engineers visited the event.

The event started Ivan Armianov MSc., who presented the program for the day, the updated website of the company and the new products of TANGRA, as well as the selection software for fans of Soler & Palau Ventilation Group – EasyVent .

The high efficient plate heat exchangers TANGRA REC HiE and the selection software for them were presented by Dipl. Eng. July Armianov, owner and general manager of TANGRA. Mr. Armianov is designing and working with plate heat and energy exchangers for ventilation and air conditioning systems since 1983 and this is one of the first products that was introduced in the company’s production range in 1992.

In his second presentation, Dipl. Eng. July Armianov showed the changes and updates in the range of air handling units TANGRA AHU.

TANGRA’s standard range of air handling units covers air flow rate from 3400 to 70 000 m3/h. They are produced in 4 construction designs (ST25 / ST50 / HYG40 / HYG60) – two standard and two hygienic constructions. The TANGRA AHU units can be equipped with different filtration systems, different ventilation sections, heating and cooling sections, but they also differ in the possibilities of energy recovery and regeneration. Ventilation and air conditioning air handling units of TANGRA are produced with rotary and plate heat exchangers with efficiency up to 85% according to EN308 and also with intermediate coolant in case of unacceptable performance with exchanger. Finally, the presentation ended with the demonstration of the TANGRA selection software for air handling units. Once a specialist chooses and design the equipment, the software allows him to print full technical passport, a DWG drawing and a presentation of the parameters in the Moliere u-h table.
Air handling units TANGRA AHU are certified by TUV Rheinland, including hygienic performance (DIN1946 and VDI6022). This competitive advantage makes TANGRA the only certified manufacturer of hygienic air handling units in Bulgaria. At the moment, the high efficiency plate heat exchangers and air handling units of the company are in a process certification by Eurovent.

After a short coffee break, the second part of the seminar continued with Dipl. Eng. Norbert Kalman, Commercial Director for Gas Heat Pumps of YANMAR and Co-chair of the European Association of Gas Heat Pump Manufacturers. He was a special guest for the event and showed the GHP solutions of the Japanese company for heating, cooling and domestic-hot water supply. YANMAR are the only manufacturer of gas-heat pump chillers. This solution can directly replace conventional chillers by reducing power consumption and ensuring comfort in the building.

The last presentation was made by Dipl. Eng. Petar Georgiev, key account specialist for JohnsonControls Hitachi. After the establishment of a joint venture in 2015, JohnsonControls and Hitachi Air conditioning have joined forces to become one of the largest manufacturers of building systems. In the field of VRF systems, TANGRA and Mr. Georgiev presented the new outdoor VRF unit HITACHI Set Free Sigma. This is the latest generation of VRF systems in the HITACHI production. The products of the series are the most efficient in the market and drastically drive their competitors. The modified compressor, modified heat exchanger, altered design and new control management make the HITACHI VRF Set Free Sigma the best product on the market. In addition to higher efficiency, the range also offers:
– Extremely efficient control (all compressors are inverter, capable of controlling every 0.1Hz).
– Ability to control evaporation temperature for greater flexibility in

different modes and seasons.
– Smooth Drive Control using continuous information from indoor units.
– Intelligent Defrost, which allows the evaporator section to split in two and while the bottom is in defrost, the upper one runs at full power to prevent the process from being felt.

The event ended with a cocktail and a free discussion so TANGRA’s team could answer every visitor’s question.
