air handling units TANGRA AHU ModularTANGRA Air Handling Units are produced in 4 different housing modifications, in order to meet the various needs of the customers` projects.
Modules can be arranged to fit the available space, providing the optimum size and efficiency at the same time. Easy assembly, installation and commissioning are guaranteed by the expertise in engineering and customized solutions in HVAC

Casing
The construction is based on specialized frames of aluminum profiles and corners. The panels are double wall (sandwich type) with an integrated thermal and sound insulation of mineral wool with density 65kg/m3. Outer and inner surfaces of the panels are made of hot-dip galvanized steel, outside powder coated.
 
The housing frames are in 4 different versions:
•  ST 25 – 25mm panels
•  ST 50 – 50mm panels
•  HYG 40 – 40mm panels (hygienic version)
•  HYG 60 – 60mm panels (hygienic version)


Base frame

The base frames are produced in hot-dip galvanized steel with powder coated. Specialized fork lift openings and crane opening are made in order to assure easy lifting, installation and commissioning at the project site.


Access doors
Access doors are smooth inside with powder coated painting and specialized door handles in order to assure tight closure of the panel and convenient opening. All revision doors that allow access in the unit are equipped with handles for opening from inside according to VDI 3803. Locking device for safe access in the unit is also provided for revision doors.

Inspection windows

Inspection window for visual check and light protection for hygienic version.


Outdoor versions
All housing types are produced for internal and external installations. The outer skin is made of hot-dip galvanized steel with powder coated, according to VDI 3803. A weatherproof roof with overhand and drip edge is installed on each upper section of the unit and joints between the roofs are supplied, according to VDI 3803.

Bottom plates
The bottom plates are produced in hot-dip galvanized steel. All floors are with smooth surface allowing cleaning with dry wipe.


All bottom plates for the hygiene and clean room version are made of stainless steel with higher inclination to the drainage in order to allow cleaning with detergents (HYG 40 and HYG 60).

Condensation tray
Cooling sections are equipped with special 3D condensation tray for precise drainage.


Hygienic & Clean Room versions
All air handling units of TANGRA can be ordered according to the standards VDI 6022 and DIN 1946-4. This is a guarantee for compliance with DIN, VDI, RLT association and all hygiene certification requirements. For clean rooms and hospitals are applicable only units with construction designs, based on HYG 40 and HYG 60 casing.

Fan section
The large diversity of fans incorporated in TANGRA Air Handling Units allow optimization of fan sections, according to the needs of high efficiency, low noise, easy maintenance and shorter delivery terms.
All fans comply with ErP directive.

Filter section
Fresh and filtrated air is crucial for healthy indoor environment. The aim of air filtration in TANGRA Air Handling Units is to protect humans` health and providing good hygiene and clean indoor air quality.
Standardized diversity of filter according to EN 779 (2012) and EN ISO 16890 (2016) are incorporated in the air handling units of TANGRA. The optimized filters sections assure larger filter areas, longer lifetime and low pressure loss. Increased energy efficiency and lower costs on maintenance are achieved.

 Air filters (EN 779 & ISO 16890)

•  Panel filters -  Suitable for coarse filter like G2, G3 and G4 (EN779) or ePM10 (ISO 16890)
•  Minipleat filters -  characterized with lower pressure drop and higher efficiency due to the special form. Class efficiency M5, M6, F7, F8 and F9 (EN779) or ePM10 (ISO 16890)
•  Pocket filters consist of filter bags made of synthetic fiber or glass fiber media. They are suitable for fine filtration. Containing high dust holding capacity due to enlarged filter area with low initial pressure. Class efficiency M5, M6, F7, F8 and F9 (EN779) or ePM10 and ePM2.5 (ISO 16890)
•  Electrostatic filters are composed of polarized ionizing electrodes and collection plates. They have constant low pressure drop and high efficiency. The efficiency decrease during time of usage. They are certified according to ISO 16890 and have class of filtration ePM1.

and maximal energy savings. Incorporating heat recovery in the air handling system, not only reduce the operating costs, but also reduce the emissions and carbon footprint of the buildings and last, but not least helps protect the planet we will leave for our children.

TANGRA Air Handling Units can be produced with integrated water heating and cooling sections. All sections are made of copper tubes and aluminum lamellas. Execution fulfilling VDI 6022 for Hygienic and
Clean room is available on request, which allow cleaning and accessing on both sides.


DX Integrated heating/cooling
Direct expansion versions for heating and cooling of TANGRA Air Handling Units are produced in two designs in order to fulfill highest standards for energy efficiency and allow combinations for gentle heating
and cooling of premises. Digital Scroll Inverter compressors are used in order to assure smooth operation. Extremely high annual energy efficiency is received thanks to the two stage heat recovery. Easy commissioning due to 100% factory tested.

DX-M / DX-M Pool
•  Plug & Play solution with Built-in Control System
• Monoblock execution. No additional piping needed
• Installation of DX section after heat recovery increases the efficiency of heat recovery up to 92%

Control system
Air conditioning and ventilation systems are rarely used to the maximum of their capacity.
Optimization of energy costs can be achieved by proper management of the air flows and the parameters of microclimate. TANGRA Air Handling Units are equipped with integrated complete control system. It is based on PLC controller offering uncountable solutions for customer or advanced user management of the unit. The control systems TANGRA Smart are suitable for both small heat recovery units and also for complex air handling units. It complies with EU Directives (MD, EMC and LVD) and is CE marked.
