During the international exhibition Ecobuild in London, UK, the TANGRA team presented for the first time their new promotional video: “How to Choose Heat Recovery Ventilation?”
EcoBuild is the largest construction exhibition in the UK, with recent years placing strong emphasis on energy-efficient and sustainable systems and building elements. During the exhibition, the latest renewable solutions for design, construction, and architecture will also be presented. TANGRA showcases its high-efficiency systems for energy savings in ventilation and air-conditioning installations. The company’s stand highlights the new energy-efficient EVB Compact ventilation systems, energy-saving ventilation units for standalone offices, classrooms, childcare facilities, and more, as well as the second generation of intelligent control – TANGRA Smart v2.
The video prepared by TANGRA specifically for this exhibition is primarily aimed at end users and HVAC installers. The clip highlights the improved construction and insulation materials, windows, and doors introduced in recent years. The effect of these improvements is that our homes have essentially become thermally insulated “thermoses.” As a result, condensation forms, and there is limited access to fresh air inside the rooms.
Increased humidity leads to higher rates of illness and deteriorates the indoor microclimate in which we live. Opening windows is not a solution to this problem. Through open windows, polluted air often enters, containing pollen, insects, and, above all, noise. Heated rooms in winter immediately start to cool down when a window is opened. This is a waste of energy, which we essentially “throw out” to the sparrows outside.
In the video, a system installed in a single-family house is presented. The system is equipped with filters for both incoming and outgoing air, EC fans, and a high-efficiency heat recovery unit with an automatic bypass. This ensures a constant supply of fresh and filtered air into the rooms, which is heated using the energy from the exhausted air.
