Europe’s HVACR industry sector association further expands its reach in Eastern Europe

Brussels, Sofia, 12 November 2018. The manufacturer TANGRA – specialised in the field of ventilation, air conditioning and heating equipment – has joined the Eurovent Association as a Corresponding Member. TANGRA is Bulgaria’s leading locally based manufacturer of HVAC equipment, and the first-ever Eurovent member from Bulgaria – further expanding the association’s footprint throughout Europe.

TANGRA is a family owned company recovered in 1989 by Dipl. Eng. July Armianov. His father founded the commercial and production company TANGRA-Lazar Armianov in the late 1930’s. After WW II the company was nationalized by the government and private business was forbidden till 1989.

Today, the company has its own designer bureau, two industrial enterprises, a commercial centre in Sofia, representative offices in Varna and Bourgas, and wide-ranging distributors throughout the Black Sea country and Europe. Its product portfolio includes, amongst others, air handling units, heat recovery units, ventilation grilles and diffusers, high efficiency plate heat exchangers, and centrifugal fans.

Dipl. Eng. July Armianov, CEO of TANGRA, states following the formal approval of the membership: “It is an honour for our company to become Corresponding Member of Europe’s leading HVACR industry association. We look forward to contributing to Eurovent’s activities in the area of legislation, standardisation, and industry promotion. Together with the Eurovent Association, we aim to increase awareness on European Union Ecodesign legislation of relevance for our industry in Bulgaria. Based in Brussels, with regional offices in Milan and Prague, it represents Europe’s leading national HVACR sector association, and more than 1.000 manufacturers.
