Dipl. Eng. Armianov, what are the tendencies in Europe and all over the world in the development of energy efficient ventilation systems, mechanical heat recovery ventilation?
The interest in energy efficiency and energy saving ventilation systems follow the tendency in increasing the prices of primary energy sources. Furthermore, the increase of energy use affects the environment and lead to negative climate changes in the last 20 years.
The European Union has created policies and programs to improve energy efficiency in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Strategies for improvement of energy performance of buildings were introduced – energy passports of buildings, Eco-Design and Energy labeling of products. Regulations for utilization of waste energy in ventilation were introduced in many countries in EU and USA – European norm EN15251 and ASHRAE-55 62.1 in the US. Unfortunately, in Bulgaria the potential of mechanical heat recovery in ventilation is still underestimated and such laws for promoting it are not issued.
What is the average payback period of such energy saving ventilation investments?
The new buildings made in the last decade cannot be ventilated by opening of a widow. Mechanical ventilation is required and heat recovery is a wise decision in my opinion. Investment for mechanical heat recovery ventilation is higher for sure, but the return of this investment is only 1.5 – 2 years. After that period the system continues saving you money.
Often the initial investment is priority when making the decision and choosing one or another system. That is why, specialists and engineers should provide more information and clearness of different systems and their life cycle period.
How do you think TANGRA fits into the global trends in the field hear recovery ventilation?
Would you be so kind to present the most competitive solutions offered by your company?
TANGRA is one of the first producers of heat recovery ventilation, not only in Bulgaria, but also at the Balkans. We produce heat exchangers since 1994 and we export heat recovery ventilation since 1996. Our mechanical heat recovery ventilation covers the highest efficiency standards in Europe (EN308). At the same time, we strive to keep the initial investment comparatively low, to help customers return the investment faster. Thanks to the high efficiency of the energy saving ventilation systems and the competitive price, more and more successfully TANGRA export these systems at the Balkans and in Europe.
