Nowadays, people spend between 70% and 90% of their lives indoors. Each of us wants to have the best possible living environment (food, water, and the air we breathe). Modern buildings are becoming increasingly well-insulated, and the doors and windows are becoming more airtight. Naturally, the association arises with a thermos, where the coffee is still hot even after 12 hours. The only drawback is that we are the ones living inside this thermos.
The team at TANGRA has been engaged for more than 25 years in the development and implementation of ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Heat recovery from exhaust air and reducing the costs for heating and cooling fresh air is a niche in which the company has been working intensively since 1994. With properly selected energy-saving equipment, it is possible to reduce up to 86% of the energy needed to heat or cool fresh air. In many European countries, these systems have been made mandatory by law. Moreover, the recovered energy from ventilation should be regarded as a renewable energy source and as an equivalent to heat pump installations.
Energy recovery from ventilation is an extremely profitable capital investment. There are various technical solutions for utilizing the heat from exhaust air. One of the products that has recently gained ground on the Bulgarian and European markets is the air handling unit with rotary regenerative heat exchangers. TANGRA has been manufacturing this type of air handling unit since 2004, and since 2013 the TANGRA AHU ROT units have been certified by TUV Rheinland. The standard range of TANGRA AHU ROT air handling units and energy-saving ventilation systems covers airflows from 1,500 m³/h to 20,000 m³/h. The efficiency of recovered energy is between 78% and 85%.
