„Rayska Gradina” is a unique holiday village located in the Sveti Vlas resort, in close proximity to Sunny Beach. This remarkable complex consists of a five-star hotel with its adjacent swimming pools, a spa center, a fitness center, dining establishments, conference halls, game and relaxation rooms, as well as several houses with luxury apartments and themed dining venues. The complex is spread across the southern slope of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and offers an incredible view across the bay to the historic town of Nessebar.
The company „TANGRA – AV” played a key role in the reengineering and installation of the ventilation and climate systems in the complex. The systems for maintaining the required temperature comfort are divided into two types: a water-based system for the hotel section and its adjacent facilities, and direct expansion systems for the apartments and dining venues.
The cooling of the hotel section is carried out using two heat pump water-cooling units from the Italian company „TONON FORTY”, with a total cooling capacity of 400 kW. They are equipped with a system for utilizing waste heat during the summer and redirecting it to water heaters for domestic hot water needs. The hotel heating is provided by a diesel-fired boiler plant with a capacity of 500 kW. For heating purposes, a fuel storage facility with a capacity of 10,000 liters has also been installed.
All individual apartments in the complex are equipped with independent high-efficiency air conditioners with a high COP, and all dining venues in the houses are fitted with HITACHI VRF systems.
Throughout the entire complex, ventilation systems were installed in accordance with regulations. Where possible, the TANGRA team integrated energy-saving ventilation units with a plate-type recuperative heat exchanger with up to 55% efficiency – TANGRA EVB AL.
The total air exchange capacity for the complex is 100,000 m³/h. For all individual systems, instrumentation and automation (I&A) installations were built, complete with the necessary electrical actuators and protective devices, safeguarding the equipment from damage and facilitating operation.
The complex has over 200 indoor parking spaces, spread across 4 levels in a garage within the hotel section. According to the technical specifications, parking of vehicles with gas systems is allowed, which required the installation of not only a traditional exhaust ventilation system but also an emergency ventilation system with a control system.
