Certainly, if you have recently renovated or are about to do so, you have encountered the problem of ventilating your bathroom.
Ventilation is necessary not only to provide fresh air but also to remove the steam generated during bathing, using the bathtub, or other wet activities, in order to prevent the formation of condensation and mold in the room. If the bathroom does not have an openable window, an alternative must be sought. The most common solution in most modern Bulgarian homes is the use of an axial fan with electric power. The main characteristic to consider when choosing a fan is its airflow rate. According to Bulgarian legislation, bathroom ventilation requires 90 m³/h, a toilet 90 m³/h, and a wet room also 90 m³/h.
The airflow rate of the fan can also be determined as a function of the room volume and the air exchange rate. The air exchange rate represents the number of complete air changes in the room per hour. The recommended rate is 5 for a bathroom and 7 for a toilet.
Another important aspect of ventilating a bathroom or wet room is choosing the location for the fan. To achieve optimal air exchange and overall ventilation of the room, it is advisable to place the fan at the farthest point from where fresh air enters. If your bathroom is larger, we recommend installing two smaller fans instead of one powerful one, positioned above specific elements, such as above the shower cabin and the bathtub. This way, you will ensure better air circulation and faster removal of steam from the room.
Remember that the air being extracted from the room must be compensated in some way. In recent years, doors and windows tend to allow less and less air to pass through. Of course, you can always leave the door slightly open for compensation, but this is not the most elegant solution. We recommend installing a small transfer grille in the door, through which the necessary air can pass.
It is advisable that the fan you choose has a so-called backdraft damper. This damper will prevent odors and polluted air from the duct system from entering your room. It will also prevent warm air from escaping the room through the fan.
Bathroom Fans:
Models from the Silent series are slim-profile axial fans, operating with extremely low electricity consumption and, at the same time, are among the quietest, making them the most preferred by our customers. They are available in three sizes – 100, 200, and 300 – depending on the fan’s airflow, which ranges from 80 to 280 m³/h. In the standard CZ models, you can choose between two colors – white and gray. All models have a backdraft damper. As an option, you can order the fan with a timer (CRZ), which allows you to preset the fan’s operating duration before it switches off. The CHZ model, in addition to a built-in timer, has a humidity sensor, which allows you to set a specific humidity level at which the fan will start operating.
The Silent Design series features a more elegant design, while retaining the same main characteristics as the Silent series. In addition to the design, three strips in different colors – red, green, and yellow – are available, which you can change depending on your interior colors.
All fans have a high level of moisture protection – IP 45. The operating temperature of the fan is up to 40°C. All fans work equally well when mounted on a wall or ceiling. Please note that axial fans have almost no pressure (resistance), meaning that if the fan is to be connected to a long horizontal section of the duct system, its performance may be compromised!

The EDM series features a relatively simple design. A major advantage is the automatic damper, which closes when the fan is not operating, thus preventing odors from the duct from entering the room. The fan is available with an additional attachment for glass mounting. This model is also offered with options including a motion sensor, as well as a timer and humidity sensor.

If you are not sure exactly which fan you have, which solution is best, or if you have any questions, do not hesitate to consult a specialist. We are at your disposal!
