Window fans can be used in general-purpose rooms, industrial spaces, and rooms with special purposes.
For domestic purposes, window fans are a suitable solution, especially when space is limited.
They are most widely used in public buildings – offices, shops, sports centers, restaurants, resort villages, hotel complexes, and others.
What should we know to correctly choose our window fan, aside from the aesthetic aspect:
It is necessary to calculate the required airflow for the room. Here мyou can find approximate values related to the air exchange rate for rooms with different purposes. The air exchange rate represents the number of complete air changes in a room. Here is a simple example: A fitness hall with an area of 400 sq.m. and a room height of 3 m. Therefore, it is necessary to ventilate a volume of 1200 m³. We assume an air exchange rate of 6 (in the link above, you can see that the recommended air exchange rate is between 6 and 12). The result is 1200 × 6 = 7200 m³/h. This means that we need to install 6 S&P HV 300 AE.
Advantages of HV and HCM window fans.
- HV and HCM window fans are very easy to install. For this reason, they are preferred for cafés, restaurants, bars, fitness centers, offices, shops, and more.
- HV fans have an automatic flap (the flap opens automatically when the fan is running and closes when the fan is turned off, preventing cold air from entering from outside). The HCM series has a mechanical flap.
- S&P HV fans are reversible – that is, the fans can either supply or extract air, depending on the selected setting. This makes them an inexpensive and easy solution for small establishments.
