In 2010, one of the most luxurious hotels in Velingrad opened its doors – the five-star spa hotel „MAXI Velingrad”. Nestled in nature, it features healing mineral springs and is the only hotel in the town supplied by two water sources, one of which is used for therapeutic purposes and the other for drinking.
TANGRA played a key role in the construction of „MAXI Velingrad”, designing and installing the hotel’s complete ventilation and heating system during the period 2008–2009. As part of TANGRA’s work, a pellet boiler plant with a total capacity of 800 kW was built, consisting of two boilers from the Italian company „Termomehanika”, each with a capacity of 400 kW. Pellet feeding is automated from a main bunker with a volume of 25 tons (30 m³).
A complete air-conditioning system was also installed in the hotel rooms at MAXI Velingrad, using heat pump cooling units from the Italian company “Tonon Forty”. In all common areas, including the pool, the extensive SPA center covering 850 m², the conference hall, restaurant, and tavern, energy-efficient ventilation systems with over 50% efficiency were implemented. The total air exchange capacity of the systems installed by TANGRA is approximately 20,000 m³/h. A simple yet effective management system for the installations was also established, allowing both manual and automatic control.
During the entire construction of „MAXI Velingrad”, TANGRA worked in close collaboration with the hotel’s interior designer to ensure that the installed ventilation and air-conditioning systems matched the overall design of the hotel and met its high standards. The TANGRA team contributed by designing energy-efficient systems that have already allowed the investor to recover the higher initial capital investment and are now saving on operational costs every month.
The successfully completed project is another milestone in TANGRA’s long-standing experience in implementing ventilation, heating, and air-conditioning installations. It demonstrates the high quality of the company’s products and their ability to meet any client requirements.
